Album count down ...

I have in my hot little hands, in a small magic box, first pass rough mixes of all ten songs on the album. I'll be heading to the seashore to listen and "take notes" about what I want changed, which is my assignment from my sound engineer (the awesome mr. mat leffler-schulman of mobtown studios).

Wee! Fun!

Hey, take this microscope and look at yourself for several hours and come back to me with a list of things you want changed, and I'll change somethings, but no, I can't change you.

Damn.

What am I paying this guy for, anyway?

But, seriously, folks, this record - "as in a record, of an event"(-Ani Defranco) - is REALLY, going to be finished by the end of JULY and I want YOU to have it, so if you aren't on my mailing list, a fan of my facebook page, following me on twitter, or otherwise interweb connected to me ...

you might not know when it is released!

Community Tango Orchestra

As some of you know, I've been sharing the piano chair in a Community Tango Orchestra. We have our first performance Thursday night (2/18/10) at 10pm. Its probably not the best time (of night!) to come see me play, but if any of you are up and wanting to come see live authentic Tango music played for dancers (the way it was meant to be played), please come!

The event is a fundraiser for an organization called Tango Mercurio, which supports and founded the community tango orchestra in order to promote the understanding and appreciation of the interplay of tango music with tango dancing:

Hope to see you there, or if not, I hope you can consider supporting this organization so that there will be more free and open to the public tango orchestra and dance opportunities in the D.C. community!

Next live Orchestra date is:
April 11th, 2010
